We investigate evolutionary patterns and processes in plant and microbial lineages.
Understanding evolutionary patterns and processes in plants and their associated microbes
is at the heart of our research. Our faculty, staff and students investigate these patterns and processes as they relate to plant and microbial lineages, interactions, and genetic characteristics and traits. Our approaches combine comparative genomics, phylogenetics, biodiversity informatics, lab and field experiments and surveys, and large-scale genomic analysis.
