Adding an undergraduate minor to your major program of study at the University of Arizona broadens your knowledge and perspective and potentially increases your value to future employers. The School of Plant Sciences offers four undergraduate minors.
You’ll typically take six or seven classes in your chosen subject area to earn your minor.
Plant Sciences Minor
Understand the fundamental biological processes of plants and learn how to apply that knowledge to solve problems; for example, helping plants adapt to climate change, disease and pests.
Sustainable Plant Systems Minor
Learn to develop plant and crop production systems, guide land management programs, and advance the latest practices to achieve fresh, safe produce.
Applied Biotechnology Minor
Gain an introduction to innovative ways to use living cells and biological processes to feed the world, fight disease and increase sustainability.
