Job opportunities are abundant for people who major through the School of Plant Sciences. Our graduates find work as botanists, environmental scientists, researchers, food scientists, microbiologists, agronomists, and so much more. In fact, employment in the fields of life, physical and social sciences is projected to grow faster than average for all occupations through 2029, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In 2023, people who pursued careers in these fields earned a median annual salary of $78,280.
