Crop and Horticultural Management & Production

We screen new and existing crops for their suitability for Arizona and the semi-arid Southwest.

This research covers the spectrum of crops, including plants used for food, fiber, chemical components and urban landscapes. Our faculty, staff and students' research includes screening new and existing crops for their suitability to be produced in the semi-arid Southwest climate. They investigate developing optimum cultural practices with the goal of minimizing the amount of resources needed for production and management.
